Seletar Airport (IATA: XSP, ICAO: WSSL) is Singapore’s secondary civilian airport, located in the northeast of the island and serving primarily business jets, general aviation, and regional turboprop flights. Originally opened in 1928 as RAF Seletar, it later transitioned to civilian use and today operates under the Changi Airport Group. The airport features a 1,840‑meter asphalt runway (03/21) capable of handling aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 757, and it supports both scheduled and charter turboprop services that help ease traffic from Changi Airport. Recent developments highlight its growing role: passenger traffic has risen steadily, business jet activity is increasing, and upgrades such as a new passenger terminal, expanded apron space, and advanced digital apron‑control systems have strengthened its position as a regional aviation hub. Seletar also anchors the surrounding Seletar Aerospace Park, a major cluster for aviation maintenance, manufacturing, and training.
