Portimão Airport (IATA: PRM) is a small public aerodrome located in Montes de Alvor, just outside the city of Portimão in Portugal’s Algarve region. It sits only a few meters above sea level and features a single 875‑meter asphalt runway (11/29), making it suitable primarily for general aviation, flight training, and especially parachuting operations, which are a major activity at the airfield. The airport has gained renewed attention in recent years due to local plans to expand the runway and facilities so it can better support traffic linked to the nearby Algarve International Circuit (AIA), allowing private aircraft to land closer to the racetrack instead of diverting to Faro. Although small, PRM is part of Portugal’s regional air network, with Sevenair operating limited scheduled routes connecting Portimão to cities such as Bragança, Vila Real, Viseu, and Lisbon–Cascais.
