Cascais Airport officially the Lisbon Cascais Tejo Regional Airport and commonly known as the Tires Aerodrome is a regional public airport located near the village of Tires in São Domingos de Rana, about 12 km northeast of Cascais in the Greater Lisbon area. It sits at an elevation of 326 ft (99 m) and operates a 1,700 meter asphalt runway (17/35) capable of handling regional traffic and executive aviation. Inaugurated on 11 October 1964, the airport today supports a mix of general aviation, business jets, and scheduled regional flights, with Sevenair operating routes to destinations such as Bragança, Portimão, Viseu, and Vila Real. The aerodrome features a control tower with radar monitoring, NDB and TVOR/DME navigation aids, a helipad with 24-hour medical emergency support, and year round operations, making it an important secondary gateway complementing Lisbon Airport.
