Before Security Smoking

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the terminals.

After Security Smoking

2026, March info for airport provided by Edders.: I have found two smoking areas..... Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters, straight after and opposite the security area. Between gates A3 and A4. Slightly air conditioned and comfortable. The smoking room looks on to the runway. Perfect to watch arriving and departing aircraft while drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette. There is also a small smoking room at gate A5 which can fit about 10 people but it's not air conditioned and very warm inside. Not ideal if you sweat easily in hot countries.

For connecting flights you may need to leave the terminal and enter BATAM and smoke outside the terminal then going through Security again for your flight.
