Jashore Airport is a key domestic airport in southwestern Bangladesh, serving both civilian and military purposes.

Located about 7 kilometers north of Jashore city and 140 kilometers southwest of Dhaka, the airport carries the codes IATA: JSR and ICAO: VGJR. It was originally built during World War II as a Royal Air Force base and later developed into a full civilian airport in the 1950s. Today, it is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh but also functions as part of the Bangladesh Air Force’s Matiur Rahman Base, used for training and operations. Jashore Airport is the only operational airport in the Khulna Division and ranks as the fifth busiest airport in Bangladesh, handling over 175,000 passengers annually. Its single 8,000-foot asphalt runway supports regular flights, primarily connecting passengers to Dhaka, with airlines such as Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Novoair, and US-Bangla Airlines operating on this route.
