It shares land borders with Zambia and Angola to the north, Botswana to the east, and South Africa to the south and east. Although it does not directly border Zimbabwe, less than 200 meters (660 feet) of the Botswanan right bank of the Zambezi River separate the two countries. The capital and largest city of Namibia is Windhoek.

Namibia’s history is rich and diverse. Inhabited since prehistoric times, the land has been shaped by various ethnic groups, including the Khoi, San, Damara, and Nama people. Around the 14th century, immigrating Bantu groups arrived, with the Ovambo becoming the largest ethnic group. Today, Namibia stands as one of the most sparsely populated countries globally, offering stark desert beauty, captivating rock art, and a resilient spirit
