Before and After Security Smoking

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the terminals.

The info here is out of date, recent updates would be appreciated.

Domestic

My last domestic flight from HKT was in October 2017 and there were no smoking areas in the domestic terminal after security. Feedback from Robert K on the 18th Aug 2018.

International

Update & photos from John M. 19th Aug 2019: New smoking area at HKT (Phuket). Outside ground level arrivals between domestic and international terminals. Pretty nice.

Note : Security was running around reprimanding people smoking outside of the area. Did not see fines issued, but the tone was unfriendly and I think pushing it to argue with them.

Phuket Airport International Departure does NOT have any smoking room. Update from Benson on the 25th Feb 2019.
