Changsha Huanghua International Airport (IATA: CSX) is the largest and busiest airport in Hunan Province, serving as a major hub for central China.

Located in Huanghua Town, about 25 kilometers east of downtown Changsha, the airport opened in 1989 and has since grown into one of the top 20 busiest airports in China. It is operated by the Hunan Airport Management Group Co., Ltd. and serves the Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan metropolitan area. The airport features two runways—one measuring 3,200 meters and another 3,800 meters—capable of handling large international aircraft. Passenger facilities include two terminals: T1, built in 1986 and expanded in 2000, and T2, opened in 2011 with a capacity of 15.6 million passengers annually. In 2023, Changsha Huanghua handled over 27 million passengers, 201,880 aircraft movements, and 176,818 metric tons of cargo, making it a vital transportation hub for both domestic and international travel. The airport is a focus city for China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines, offering connections to major Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, as well as international destinations including Bangkok, Seoul, Osaka, and Singapore
