This airport is now under new management as of August 2021.

Before Smoking

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the terminals.

After Security Smoking

There maybe a smoking area inside the terminal. There is a restaurant called the Tinder box which is the designated smoking area, unsure where this is or in what terminal.

For connecting flights you may need to enter Afghanistan and smoke outside the terminal then go through Security again for your flight.

Suicide and mortar attacks are still common here.
